Our Story

Formed originally following The Second World War by a group of local enthusiasts We found our roots as Stretton Labour Club before later evolving to the Social Club we are today in 1951.

We have been at the centre of the community ever since, expanding to meet demand through the 60s and 70s with the support of Bass Brewery.

However, during the 90s we struggled, ultimately having to downsize to fight through a tough period in the 2000s.

With our previous committee's efforts, we got back on our feet before forming our new committee in 2015 to restore the Club to its former glory, going on to win Club of the Year 2019 as awarded by Campaign For Real Ale, something that we believe symbolises the history of the club.

Now we aim to drive that history further, making the Club a place where our community can relax, have fun, spend time with friends and family and even make some new ones along the way.
